Amish Couture: Hommes

The men and women that subscribe to this trend will be noticeably different from one another. The men of the amish culture today wear fairly plain clothing that is easy to work in, easy to clean and easy to make.

The style of the Amish men will primarily stay they same. The colours will be basic and the style will be sharp. However there will be a heavier focus on the basic, classic style.

Feature One: Tailoring

The men of the trend will dress fully in tailoring. Made to measure trousers and blazers with sharp shoulders and strong lines will be the centre piece of the trend.

Feature Two: Couture

The 'Couture' side of the trend will be fairly subtle for the male members and be introduced using metallics and gem stones. This will mainly feature through accessories which draw inspiration from nature and the wilderness, reflecting the Amish 'back to basics' way of life, mixed with the new changed world.

Feature Three: The Beard

The current Amish men do not shave their beards and grow them as long as possible. Beards will heavily feature as a part of the Amish Couture Homme trend, however there will be a modern take on the Amish style. Instead of leaving the beards untrimmed and messy the Amish Couture men will use sharp lines and styles to match that of the sharp tailored suits. This will be a reflection of the 'back to basics' lifestyle, but basics meaning that of sharp lines and shapes, rather than mess and untidiness.
