Headwear is a huge part of current Amish culture and this feature will not be changing. The current rule is that the bonnets for women cover their hair and help them work, and for men the hats are a mark of respect. The hats for the 2014 trend will be more statement pieces; even though the trend is based on the 'back to basics' living, however I am incorporating the 'couture' side with Amish culture.
Femme Bonnet:
The womens bonnet will be reworked in terms of material and tailored shape. The materials will be thicker and darker, the shape will be more defined and stylistic.
Homme Fedora:
The mens hat will be reworked in terms of dramatic shape. The materials will be firmer so that the hats keep their style longer.
